We also aim to be the provider for implantable neural interfaces to restore function to people with neurological disorders. Blackrock Microsystems already delivers some of the most critical components of leading BCI set-ups. We spend every day building technology that will benefit patients suffering from paralysis disorders, neurological diseases (ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), and neural dysfunctions (epilepsy, brain trauma).
Join us in that challenge and contribute the following:
—Serve as the primary resource for basic mechanical engineering needs
—Develop concepts, prototype, and test the implementation of those solutions
—Use CAD/CAM software to create solids and drawing of enclosures for various projects
—Work with vendors to source materials, build prototypes and parts, and ensure tolerances of machined parts
—Ensure designs, components, test & manufacturing methods are documented appropriately within the quality system
—Create renderings of finished product assemblies
—Minimum of B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (or currently pursuing), plus hands-on experience in the field
—Solidworks experience with parts, assemblies, and drawings
—Familiarity with different manufacturing processes, machining, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal, etc.
—Strong, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members from a variety of disciplines
—Enjoy collaborative brainstorming, problem solving & development efforts
—Self-directed & Self-motivated
