Adapters Engineer


We are looking for an Adapters Engineer who will support adapters manufacturing with design of products, test equipment and with troubleshooting. They will also manage non-conforming materials, deviations, and RMA’s.

This position is full time and based in Salt Lake City. Salary Range is $50,000-60,000 annually.


    —Preferred BS or MS in Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent or minimum five-years’ experience in related field
    —Minimum 3 years in design and development
    —Medical instrument design is desired
    —Analog/digital electronic and optical design
    —Systems Engineering
    —Software background to support embedded systems
    —Able to contribute and guide design architecture
    —Must have excellent organizing skills to lead team for projects
    —Must be able to put project plans together, including deadlines, labor, and budget
    —Must be proficient with electronic testing equipment
    —Must be thorough and detail oriented
    —Must have excellent reading, writing and communication skills in the English language
    —Proficient with Office, Outlook, Excel & Word


    —Proficient with IC CAD/CAE software
    —Proficient with PCB CAD/CAE software
    —Proficient with FPGA CAD/CAE software
    —RF Power/communications
    —High speed IR data
    —Mixed signal development
    —Integrated circuit design
    —Digital Signal Processing
    —Knowledge of Electrical Standards for medical devices
    —Knowledge of industry standards
    —Familiar with manufacturing and quality assurance procedures

Job Duties:

    1. Interface with the sales, quality, and manufacturing personnel to learn of problems with product designs and processes
    2. Manage product and process design improvement efforts
    3. Manage changes to products due to material obsolescence
    4. Design electronic schematics and layouts for prototypes and final products of medical devices
    5. Design and develop mixed-signal PCB
    6. Develop test protocols and reports
    7. Write technical reports and specifications for electronic components
    8. Test function and performance of electronic components
    9. Coordinate efforts between the company and consultants or vendors
    10. Perform other assignments as required by the Management
